Ake Ake Theatre

Dunedin’s Ake Ake Theatre Company is husband and wife team Rhys and Jessica Latton. Ake Ake Theatre have had a long association with the Midwinter Carnival, often playing key characters that help tell the story of the Carnival. As Ake Ake Theatre their work incorporates performing, teaching and working as directors of physical dance theatre and site specific theatre. They love community theatre and bringing people together. In their words “Theatre transforms us and nourishes the soul”.

In addition to theatre, Rhys and Jessica, have a passion for yoga and run the Dunedin Yoga Studio.
